Library History
1981 Oct. 7th - The Village of Milo passed a by-law, creating the Milo Municipal Library.
1983 - Milo Municipal Library opened its doors to the public.
1992 - The Library joined the Chinook Arch Regional Library System.
1995 - The Library began its online circulation services along with the other System libraries.
1996 Nov. 28th - Friends of Milo Municipal Library Society was incorporated.
1999 - Full Internet services were obtained through Chinook Arch and made available for the community to access. The Library became a member of The Alberta Library.
2006 - The Library Board began construction of the new library building on Main street Milo.
2007 - The name of the library was officially shortened from "Milo Municipal Library" to simply "Milo Library".
2007 Nov. 22nd - Milo Library moved from the school to our brand new Library on Center Street.
2011 - Virtual tour of Milo Library was created by Cam Klem in January.
2011 - New Milo Library logo was created by Barb Godkin in May.
2011 - Milo Lions Archivist Fellowship was created to start digitizing contents of the Friends of the Milo Municipal Library Archive Room.
2013 - Milo Library Archives became an official member of the Archives Society of Alberta.
2014 - 2016 - Milo Library Archives was able to hire a professional archivist for the summer months.
